    i play in component (hi def) and i record with a hava platinum which is 130 dollars. i hook my x box into my hava and the hava into my tv. then an ethernet cord runs from my hava into my router which connects both the x box and the hava to the computer. then voila i open hava pc player and record whats on my tv for how ever long i want.
